On June 20, 2022, Kazakhstan launched the Instant Payment System (IPS). IPS allows making instant transfers by phone number and payments by QR code between participants of the payment market (second-tier banks and payment organizations) on the territory of Kazakhstan.

To date, 7 banks are members of the System:

1. JSC «Eurasian Bank»
2. JSC «First Heartland Jusan Bank»
3. JSC «Kazpost»
4. JSC «Bereke Bank»
5. JSC “Bank Freedom Finance Kazakhstan”
6. JSC «ForteBank»
7. JSC «Bank CenterCredit»

In three months the number of transactions in the IPS reached 18 thousand. The volume of transactions through the IPS during this time exceeded more than 1.6 billion tenge.

Active work is underway to connect the remaining participants of the payment market by the end of this year. As new participants are connected, further development of IPS interbank services is expected for the population and business.

On October 1, 2020 the remote biometric identification service was launched into commercial operation based on – «Information system «Identification Data Processing Center» (IDPC)»

IDPC provides the possibility of obtaining financial services without physically visiting a financial institution with technology using « facial recognition». 

Remote Biometric identification enables financial market participants to remotely identify customers and provide them with services such as opening of bank accounts and deposits, issuance of payment cards, loans.

Service available as banks and insurance companies, professional participants of the securities market, payment and microfinance institutions.

«At the same time, to date, to IPC connected biometrics 4 Service Provider including the LTD «Vision Labs», LLP «Verigram», LTD «Oz Forensics»  and LLP « Biometric».
