When using the FASTI system, the NPK provides users with all the necessary tools and services to establish electronic document circulation in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Electronic Document and Electronic Digital Signature."

The NPK has the authority to provide the sender with encrypted information, not older than 6 months, including records of document processing during the relevant period, related to the sender, recipient, or message reference. Disputes arising from the use of electronic documents and electronic digital signatures are subject to judicial resolution.

a) All encrypted information transmitted through the system is stored in the archive. The archiving of information is performed in real-time when the server receives messages from users. The FASTI administrator has the capability to restore encrypted messages from the archive to the user's home directory based on the following criteria: restoration period, sender, recipient, and message reference.

b) System information necessary for system restoration for the preceding three days is stored, including system data, settings, and user data. Archiving is conducted daily on both the file system and tape magnetic media.

a) Internet access. The connection speed to the Internet for users in NPK is 2 Mbps;

b) Switched channels organized via Dial Up (PPP). NPK utilizes a modem pool operating on the V92 (56K6ht/c) protocol, consisting of 60 modems in the main center and 30 modems in the backup center;

c) Dedicated channels organized via Frame Relay with the largest providers in the Kazakhstani market: AO Kazakhtelecom, AO Astel, AO Nursat, AO SA-Telkom, AO Kazteleport. The total bandwidth reaches 6 Mbps.

d) High-speed (1000 Mbit/s) optical channels IP/VPN MPLS from AO Kazteleport and AO Kazakhtelecom.

The system operates on fault-tolerant servers with high performance. Within NPK, the primary FASTI server is located in the main center, accompanied by a backup server in the backup center. The backup server operates in hot standby mode, with all data processed by the primary server replicated to the backup server every 20 minutes. The planned transition time to the backup server in the event of a failure of the primary server is set to be no more than 10 minutes. These measures contribute to the overall fault tolerance and reliability of the FASTI system.

The FASTI system uses the standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan for encryption GOST 28147-89, for electronic digital signature GOST 34.310-2004 and the hashing function GOST 34.311-95. The certified cryptographic tools used comply with the standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan ST 1073-2007. File systems, external USB or CD devices, as well as secure devices such as JavaCard, JavaToken, KAZToken, SmartCard can be used to store cryptographic keys.
