National Payment Corporation Launches Interbank QR Payments Service Jointly with Bank CentreCredit, Freedom Bank and Home Credit Bank

JSC «National Payment Corporation of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan» with the support of the RSI «National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan» as part of the development of the national digital financial infrastructure announces the launch of an interbank QR payment service for paying for goods and services in mobile applications of banks.

The first operations became available to clients of Bank CenterCredit JSC, Freedom Bank JSC and Home Credit Bank JSC. These banks became the first partners to introduce the service of interbank QR payments into their mobile applications and provide the ability to pay for goods and services in trade and service enterprises throughout Kazakhstan.

The service of interbank QR payments was created on the basis of the Interbank Mobile Payment System (IMPS) and complies with the international standard ISO 20022, which guarantees the speed and reliability of operations.

This single payment tool, available to all customers of participating banks, allows customers to pay for purchases in the acquiring network through the mobile application of their bank.

The launch of the inter-bank QR payments service is a new stage in the development of the national digital financial infrastructure, which allows creating a comfortable environment for citizens and businesses.

JSC «National Payment Corporation of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan» and RSI «National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan» are working to connect new participants.
